Car and bike buyers in India may soon benefit from reduced prices as the government considers slashing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on automobiles. The Finance Ministry has proposed to the GST Council a simplified tax structure of 5% and 18%, potentially replacing the current 28% slab for vehicles.
