India is embarking on manufacturing its own commercial aircraft, leveraging its growing aviation sector. The Tata-Airbus plant in Vadodara, alongside Boeing and Airbus collaborations, and a newly proposed Special Purpose Vehicle, aim to develop a self-sustaining ecosystem despite initial dependence on foreign components and substantial financial investment.While inaugurating the Tata-Airbus plant in Vadodara along with Spanish President Pedro Sanchez today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a significant observation. “All of you have witnessed unprecedented growth and transformation in India’s aviation sector in the last decade,” he said. “We are already working to make India an aviation hub.
